2015 AGM a Success
Despite some initial technical difficulties, the SRG AGM at the Workers on Sunday 19th was a success. Around 30 people turned out to have lunch at the Bistro and/or be part of the meeting upstairs. It was good to see our members from Balranald, Swan Hill and Robinvale. Highlights of the meeting included a video of the VI3ANZAC operation at Lake Boga, Noel VK3FI's vist to Tasmania and an auction of donated equipment.
Election of Officers: There were just sufficiant nominations to fill the positions and no ballot was required. Carried on acclamation. It would be appropriate at this stage to say a big thank you to Ray VK3HSR who has stood down from the committee. Thank you Ray for your time and effort from all of us.
The Max Follie award went to Thomas VK3EO for his amazing effort in organising the very successful VI3ANZAC operation. Well done Thomas and richley deserved.
Peter, VK3JUG is the recipient of the VK3ATN Technical Achievement Award, for his outstanding work on the repeater and beacon network including dragging the cub into the 21st century by GPS frequency locking the 2 meter beacon. Well done Peter.
Thanks to Norm VK3XCI and XYL Bernadette for rescuing the "technical difficulty" A laptop and cables appeared to sub for the house system which didn't awant to play ball. (Sorry!)
